Carrington West are assisting their client, a well established national planning consultancy, in their search for a town planner on a full-time permanent basis.
We have an exciting opportunity to join a team of town planners delivering projects nationally across the UK working on a whole range of projects including retail and leisure, education, residential and commercial. The role is open to candidates from both the private and the public sector.
Responsibilities
You will be working in a collaborative manner with both colleagues and clients whilst having the chance to manage your own caseload, while assisting with some of the larger and more complicated projects the consultancy has.
The company are offering a completely flexible working arrangement of 3 days a week in the Reading office which if typically Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday with Monday and Friday from home.
You will need
- Minimum 6 months experience in the public or private sector in the UK
- Ideally licentiate member of the RTPI or have gained chartered status
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel in the UK for site visits
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment
Experience and eligibility
Experience in a planning consultancy or local authority is a must. Please note that applications won\’t be considered without the criteria being met.
