Location: Fully Remote or working out of the clients office in Surrey

Contract: 3-Month Contract

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

We are currently supporting a well-established engineering consultancy in their search for a Senior or Principal Drainage Engineer to join their team on a 3-month contract basis.

The Role

You will play a key role in delivering drainage and flood risk solutions across a range of infrastructure and development projects. Working autonomously, you will support design delivery, strategy development, and technical reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake drainage design for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects
  • Prepare and review Drainage Strategies
  • Produce Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) in line with current regulations
  • Develop surface water and foul water solutions in line with SuDS principles
  • Use MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage for modelling and design
  • Liaise with internal teams, clients, and approving authorities where required

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Senior or Principal Drainage Engineer role
  • Strong background in drainage design and strategy development
  • Demonstrable experience producing Flood Risk Assessments
  • Proficient in MicroDrainage and/or InfoDrainage
  • Good understanding of UK drainage standards and planning requirements (e.g. SuDS, LLFA expectations)
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment or in the office if local
