We are looking for a Freelance Clerk of Works to support the delivery of civils and groundworks schemes across the Surrey area on an immediate basis. The Freelance Clerk of Works will act as the key link between site operations and Contracts Managers, ensuring works are progressing smoothly and that materials, plant, and labour are in place to maintain programme delivery.

This Freelance Clerk of Works role will involve overseeing day-to-day site activity, monitoring quality and progress, coordinating with subcontractors, and reporting on site performance across multiple live projects.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Clerk of Works within civils and groundworks
  • Highways experience, working on schemes on network roads
  • Strong site coordination and reporting skills
  • Ability to liaise effectively with site teams and Contracts Managers
  • Experience managing plant, materials, and site logistics
  • Full UK driving licence

The successful Clerk of Works will be expected to travel across schemes within Surrey and be comfortable working in a fast-paced delivery environment.
