Carrington West is supporting a major organisation with the appointment of an experienced Structures Manager to lead the management, maintenance and strategic development of a diverse highway structures and infrastructure asset portfolio. This is a senior contract position with responsibility for bridges, retaining walls, culverts, road restraint systems and geotechnical assets, combining technical leadership with strategic asset management and significant capital programme responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of senior engineers, engineers and technicians.
- Manage inspection, maintenance and improvement programmes across highway and open space structures.
- Provide expert technical advice on complex infrastructure, highways and development projects.
- Lead strategic structures asset management and lifecycle planning.
- Ensure structures assets comply with relevant national standards, codes of practice and health.
- Develop and deliver capital and revenue programmes, with responsibility for structures capital budgets of up to 3m per annum.
- Contribute to wider infrastructure investment programmes valued at over 150m.
