Stock Condition Surveyor Location: Basildon, Essex Contract: Temporary, Full Time - Initial 3-6 Months Rate: 32.00 per hour (Umbrella) Closing Date: 17th August 2026 An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Stock Condition Surveyor to join Basildon Borough Council on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract. Working within the Council s Landlord Services team, you will play an important role in supporting the long-term strategic management of a substantial housing portfolio comprising more than 11,000 social rented homes and associated assets. The Council operates a significant rolling revenue and capital investment programme of approximately 36-38 million per year, and accurate stock condition information is essential in helping to inform future maintenance, improvement and investment decisions. The Role Reporting to the Stock Condition Co-ordinator, you will undertake property surveys and collect accurate condition data across the Council s housing stock and associated assets.
