Role Overview
You will be responsible for undertaking asbestos surveys across a range of domestic and commercial properties, ensuring compliance with current legislation and supporting the council's statutory duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys
- Produce clear, accurate survey reports in line with HSG264 guidance
- Identify and assess asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) and associated risks
- Provide technical advice to internal stakeholders and contractors
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with HSE regulations and council procedures
- Support ongoing compliance and asset management programmes
Requirements
- BOHS P402 (or equivalent) qualification
- Proven experience carrying out asbestos surveys within public sector or large property portfolios
- Strong knowledge of asbestos legislation and HSE guidance
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
