Carrington West is looking for a reliable Site Agent with highways experience to work with our client, a major contractor on a large highways scheme in Somerset. The role offers payment to a LTD company. Working for a major contractor to National Highways covering a major highways scheme, you will be expected to manage established site and contact systems to control the flow of engineering information between the company and client.
Responsible for the performance of Supervisors and Engineers under your control, you will continually appraise and develop their skills, whilst generating and reviewing H&S paperwork and identifying engineering discrepancies within the works information to resolve these issues to ensure works are constructed with the full agreement of the designer. You will also hold an Appointed Person ticket.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Plan and oversee all aspects of a project from cradle to grave.
- Defining a project's scope and goals.
- Identify safe and unsafe working conditions.
- Planning and scheduling project timelines.
- Coordinating project staff.
- Resource planning and allocation.
- Quality assurance.
