Location: Heathrow, London

Contract: Long-term

Rate: £320 - £360 per day

IR35: Inside IR35

Hours: Monday to Friday, Days

Working arrangement: Client may consider 2-3 days in the office and the rest working from home

We are currently looking for an experienced CAD Technician/Engineer to join an established project team delivering major civil engineering works at Heathrow.

The successful candidate will support the engineering and site teams with the production and management of CAD drawings throughout the construction and handover phases of the project. A significant part of the role will involve producing accurate as-built information and ensuring drawings are updated to reflect works completed on site.

This is a long-term opportunity, with an existing project currently underway and a strong pipeline of further work expected to continue through to late 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Produce, amend and maintain CAD drawings throughout the project lifecycle
  • Prepare accurate as-built drawings from site records and red-line mark-ups
  • Produce construction and engineering drawings as required by the site team
  • Incorporate survey information and changes made during construction
  • Work closely with Site Engineers, Surveyors and other members of the project delivery team
  • Maintain drawing accuracy, revision control and associated records
  • Assist with drawing packages required for project completion and handover
  • Support the team with temporary works and construction-related drawings where required
  • Ensure CAD information is produced accurately and within required timescales

Experience Required

  • Previous experience working as a CAD Technician, CAD Engineer or similar
  • Strong AutoCAD capability
  • Experience producing as-built drawings
  • Background within civil engineering, infrastructure, highways, rail, utilities or major construction projects
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, site mark-ups and survey information
  • Good understanding of drawing revisions and document control
  • Ability to work accurately while maintaining a good level of output
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with site-based engineering teams

Civil 3D experience would be advantageous but is not essential. Previous aviation or airport experience is also not essential. Candidates with strong CAD and as-built experience from other major infrastructure or civil engineering environments are encouraged to apply.
