An exciting opportunity has opened up for a driven Sub Agent or Senior Engineer to join a major contractor delivering critical works on HS2. This is a chance to step into a key leadership role on a high-profile package involving complex Under Track Crossing (UTX) works, reinforced concrete structures, and major infrastructure delivery. You’ll be joining a well-established team at a pivotal stage of the project, moving from self-delivered heavy civils into major subcontract package management. This role offers genuine long-term stability, career progression, and the opportunity to lead from the front on one of the country’s flagship infrastructure schemes.
Due to the stage of the project, you will need experience with Quality Assurance (QA) paperwork, method statements, requisitions, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for handover.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead delivery of heavy civils and infrastructure works on HS2
- Manage engineering teams including Section Engineers and Site Engineers
- Oversee subcontractor packages including steel, blockwork, and M&E interfaces
- Ensure QA, inspections, and documentation processes are maintained to a high standard
- Review and manage RAMS, requisitions, temporary works, and site documentation
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to drive programme delivery
- Support safe and efficient site operations across all phases of delivery
Essential Experience:
- Experience working as a Sub Agent, Senior Engineer, or Section Engineer on major civils or infrastructure projects
- Strong background in self-delivered heavy civils works
- Major infrastructure project experience
- Tier 1 contractor experience preferred
- Experience with Quality Assurance (QA) paperwork, method statements, requisitions, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for handover
- Experience managing site teams and subcontractors
- CSCS and SMSTS
Desirable Requirements:
- Degree or HND in Civil Engineering
- Temporary Works awareness (TWC/TWS)
- Reinforced concrete or precast experience
