A well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy delivering sustainable and innovative design solutions across the built environment is currently looking to add a passionate Structural Engineer to their Manchester office. As a Structural Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering structural engineering design and project management support across a diverse range of projects. You will work closely with internal design teams and external stakeholders to provide efficient, safe, and innovative structural solutions from concept through to completion.
Responsibilities- Undertake structural design calculations and prepare drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Deliver detailed designs for steel, concrete, timber, and composite structures in line with current design codes and standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, architectural, and MEP engineers to ensure cohesive project delivery.
- Manage project deliverables, budgets, and timelines, ensuring high-quality outputs.
- Attend design and site meetings, providing input during all project stages including feasibility, detailed design, and construction.
- Support junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Promote best practice in sustainability, digital engineering, and health and safety.
- Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (MEng or BEng).
- Chartered (MIStructE or MICE) or working towards chartership.
- Strong technical capability with experience in design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, TEDDS, or similar.
- Knowledge of UK and Eurocode design standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, organised, and committed to high standards of work.
