Senior Quantity Surveyor required for Highways scheme based in the South of Birmingham, on a freelance basis Outside IR35. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a central role in managing the commercial aspects of a highways scheme currently in progress. With the project at a stage where compensation events are a major focus, your experience will be essential in ensuring accurate assessment, negotiation, and agreement of these changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and assessing compensation events in line with contract requirements
  • Overseeing cost control, forecasting, and reporting
  • Supporting the commercial management of the project lifecycle
  • Liaising with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and processes
  • Contributing to the successful financial delivery of the scheme

Working Arrangement

This is a hybrid role, with 4 days on-site/in the office and 1 day working from home.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Availability to start at short notice
