A well-established and growing MEP consultancy based in Southwark is looking to appoint a Senior Public Health Design Engineer to support continued expansion across a diverse project portfolio.
The practice delivers projects across the full RIBA Plan of Work (Stages 0-7) and works on a broad mix of sectors including Hotels, Residential (high-end and multi-unit), Commercial offices, and mixed-use developments. With ambitious growth plans to increase the team by 10 people over the next two years, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for genuine progression.
The Role
- Lead the public health design on your own projects across all RIBA stages
- Produce detailed designs, calculations, specifications and technical reports
- Coordinate closely with Mechanical, Electrical and BIM teams
- Attend client and design team meetings
- Oversee junior engineers where required
- Manage your own workload and programme delivery autonomously
This is a role for someone confident taking ownership. Technically strong, commercially aware, and comfortable representing the discipline within multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of Public Health design within building services
- Proven experience working as a Design Engineer in a UK-based MEP consultancy
- Strong understanding of UK regulations, standards and best practice
- Experience delivering projects across multiple RIBA stages
- Ability to work independently and manage projects autonomously
- Strong coordination and communication skills
