Job Title: Senior Planning Engineer Location: Southwest Region (Office-Based with Regular Site Visits) Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: £60,000-£70,000 with Company Vehicle or Car Allowance About the Role: Our client is a leading civils contractor and due to a busy pipeline of works, they are seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to join their team in the Southwest region. This role focuses on developing, maintaining, and driving construction programmes for tenders and live projects, ensuring efficient delivery in collaboration with operational teams and stakeholders. Responsibilities: ·Develop and manage detailed project programmes using planning software. ·Analyse tender documents and incorporate key information into plans. ·Monitor progress, produce reports, and communicate changes or risks to teams. ·Lead planning workshops and build strong client relationships. ·Support bid strategies with detailed narratives and phasing plans. ·Ensure compliance with NEC principles, health and safety standards, and internal processes. Requirements: ·Qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction (HND level or equivalent). ·Experience working in a site-based role (i.e Agent, Project Manager, Engineer) is essential. ·Proven experience in planning within the UK construction industry and highways sector. ·Strong understanding of construction techniques, sequencing, and NEC programme management. ·Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project. ·Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. ·Full UK driving licence.
