Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Building Services

Are you an ambitious Mechanical Design Engineer, skilled in taking building services projects from concept through to detailed design? If you\\\’re looking for a role where you can take full ownership of your work and make a tangible impact within a growing business, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. We are looking for someone who can confidently run with projects and is capable of handling detailed design beyond stage three.

Responsibilities

Join an ambitious and growing building services design consultancy that is making its mark across London and the South East. With a strong and healthy pipeline of work for 2026 and beyond, the company focuses on a variety of exciting sectors, including commercial offices, high–end private residential, education, and healthcare. They are also expanding their survey and Technical Due Diligence (TDD) work, offering a varied and dynamic workload.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their core team in the Kent office. This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work from home one or two days a week. You will be responsible for taking projects and running with them, handling the day–to–day mechanical design and freeing up the directors to focus on business growth. This position offers a genuine path for career progression, with the potential to lead the mechanical department and mentor junior engineers as the team expands.

Salary

Salary range: GBP45,000 to GBP65,000 per annum, which is negotiable and dependent on your level of experience and ability. The business is focused on finding the right person and values quality, so is willing to invest for a top–tier candidate.

  • Experience or an interest in TDD and survey work would be a bonus.
