Civil Design Engineer – Reinforced Concrete | Nuclear Projects
Location: Bristol (Hybrid - 2 days WFH)
Contract length: 12 months
Rate: Up to £60hr (Inside IR35)
Are you a Civil Design Engineer who thrives on technical detail, complex calculations, and design accuracy? Are you ready to contribute to the delivery of some of the UK’s most critical reinforced concrete infrastructure in the nuclear sector? Our client – a leading multinational consultancy – is setting the standard in the nuclear energy sector. With a powerhouse presence across Europe and a fast-growing reputation in the UK market, they are now delivering some of the nation’s most critical civil engineering projects, including Hinkley Point C.
Expectations and Skillsets
- Lead the technical review of design queries, detailed structural calculations for reinforced concrete elements and design changes.
- Perform technical reviews of designs while engaging in the drawing process itself using the Ansys software.
- Ensure accurate and compliant delivery of civil engineering design packages.
- Analyse and coordinate intricate RC structure designs to the highest standards.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in civil/structural engineering with a Degree or HND in Engineering, science or STEM subjects.
- Strong expertise in Ansys software and reinforced concrete structures.
- Knowledge of British civil engineering standards.
- Experience in regulated industries (nuclear, energy, defence) is preferred.
- Please note that this role will require security clearance.
