An urgent requirement has arisen for experienced Protection & Control Design Engineers with SCADA experience to support the delivery of major National Grid transmission projects. Working on transmission voltage substations from 132kV to 400kV, you will be involved in FEED and detailed design activities through tender and construction phases. This is a critical hire due to an imminent departure within the existing project team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Protection & Control detailed design for National Grid transmission projects
  • SCADA integration and interface design
  • Development of protection philosophies, schematics and detailed design deliverables
  • Relay settings and logic design
  • Coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Support FEED, tender and construction design phases

Requirements

  • Protection & Control Design experience on UK transmission projects
  • SCADA design experience within transmission substations
  • Detailed Design experience gained with a UK Transmission Owner or UK contractor
  • Experience working on substations between 132kV and 400kV
  • Strong understanding of National Grid standards and requirements

Part-time candidates will also be considered.
