An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major wastewater infrastructure project in Saltcoats, North Ayrshire. Working on the Stormflow WWPS Rising Main Phase, you will support the delivery of critical Scottish Water infrastructure upgrades within a live operational environment. This is a long-term contract position with a strong pipeline of work through to December 2026.
The project involves:
- Rising main installation
- Wastewater infrastructure upgrades
- Deep drainage and excavation works
- Utilities coordination
- Reinforced concrete and civils packages
- Temporary works and reinstatement activities
You will work closely with the Project Manager and Site Management team, supporting day-to-day engineering delivery while ensuring works are completed safely, accurately and in line with programme requirements.
Key duties will include:
- Setting out and surveying
- Managing QA documentation and ITPs
- Producing as-built records
- Coordinating subcontractors and site activities
- Reviewing drawings and technical specifications
- Supporting HSE compliance and permit systems
- Monitoring progress and resolving engineering issues
This role would suit a Site Engineer with previous experience delivering:
- Water or wastewater infrastructure projects
- Pipeline or rising main schemes
- Civil engineering and drainage works
- Utilities or infrastructure frameworks
- Live operational environment projects
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Strong setting out and QA experience
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- A proactive and hands-on approach on site
- Experience working with principal contractors
- NEC contract awareness beneficial
Essential certifications:
- CSCS Card
- SMSTS or SSSTS preferred
- First Aid
- EUSR Water Hygiene advantageous
- Confined Spaces advantageous
