An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major wastewater infrastructure project in Saltcoats, North Ayrshire. Working on the Stormflow WWPS Rising Main Phase, you will support the delivery of critical Scottish Water infrastructure upgrades within a live operational environment. This is a long-term contract position with a strong pipeline of work through to December 2026.

The project involves:

  • Rising main installation
  • Wastewater infrastructure upgrades
  • Deep drainage and excavation works
  • Utilities coordination
  • Reinforced concrete and civils packages
  • Temporary works and reinstatement activities

You will work closely with the Project Manager and Site Management team, supporting day-to-day engineering delivery while ensuring works are completed safely, accurately and in line with programme requirements.

Key duties will include:

  • Setting out and surveying
  • Managing QA documentation and ITPs
  • Producing as-built records
  • Coordinating subcontractors and site activities
  • Reviewing drawings and technical specifications
  • Supporting HSE compliance and permit systems
  • Monitoring progress and resolving engineering issues

This role would suit a Site Engineer with previous experience delivering:

  • Water or wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Pipeline or rising main schemes
  • Civil engineering and drainage works
  • Utilities or infrastructure frameworks
  • Live operational environment projects

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Strong setting out and QA experience
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • A proactive and hands-on approach on site
  • Experience working with principal contractors
  • NEC contract awareness beneficial

Essential certifications:

  • CSCS Card
  • SMSTS or SSSTS preferred
  • First Aid
  • EUSR Water Hygiene advantageous
  • Confined Spaces advantageous
