About the Role

We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team delivering utility infrastructure projects across the water sector. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established specialist contractor where you'll be given the autonomy to manage your own workload while working on long-term framework projects. Whether you're an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step or an experienced Quantity Surveyor seeking a new challenge, we'd like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and submitting monthly applications for payment
  • Drafting and issuing Early Warning Notices
  • Pricing, submitting and negotiating Compensation Events
  • Assisting with tender submissions, including take-offs, pricing, risk registers and clarifications
  • Valuing subcontractor accounts
  • General commercial administration
  • Attending site and commercial meetings with clients and principal contractors
  • Managing your own workload and supporting the commercial delivery of multiple projects

About You

To be successful, you'll ideally have:

  • Experience within civil engineering or utilities, ideally the water sector
  • A good working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to create and maintain commercial trackers
  • A proactive approach with the confidence to work independently and take ownership of your projects
  • A degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying is preferred, although candidates with strong industry experience will also be considered
