Location: Fleet, with travel around the Southern route (Kent, Sussex & Wessex) with flexible working.
Salary: £75,000 to £85,000 per annum DOE + £5000 car allowance or company car + up to 10% bonus scheme.
My client is seeking an ambitious and commercially-driven Regional Operations Manager to lead the strategic growth of their successful rail division. This is a senior leadership role for a candidate who is not content with maintaining the status quo, but is motivated to take a £12m turnover business and double it.
You will be responsible for identifying and securing new workstreams, building the team to meet growing demand, and developing key client relationships across the rail sector. You will be working closely with the Rail Director and Project Managers in the region, with full autonomy and flexible working conditions. It is important that you have great networking skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the growth of the rail department, with a target to significantly increase the current £12m turnover.
- Leverage your industry connections to bring in new work, particularly with clients such as TFL, London Underground, and Transport for Wales.
- Proactively manage and grow the team, ensuring they have the right people to deliver on new projects.
- Act as a senior, client-facing lead for the business.
- Identify opportunities to streamline internal processes to support growth.
Requirements:
- A proven track record of taking a business from a c. £2-3 million turnover to £15 million+.
- Excellent connections and a strong reputation within the UK rail industry.
- Experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor is highly desirable.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to see growth opportunities and act on them.
