Are you an experienced Senior Project Manager looking for your next challenge in the water sector? Our client is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a portfolio of water infrastructure projects across the Thames Water region. This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK's leading infrastructure delivery partners, working on long-term AMP8 projects that play a key role in improving and maintaining critical water assets.

This role offers a hybrid working pattern and is suited to an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in the water industry. You will oversee multiple projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

About the Role

As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall delivery of water infrastructure projects across the Thames Water network. Working closely with operational, commercial and engineering teams, you will provide leadership across multiple schemes, ensuring programmes are delivered efficiently while maintaining strong client relationships. This is a leadership-focused role and does not require candidates to come from an engineering background. However, previous experience delivering projects within the UK water sector is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful delivery of multiple water infrastructure projects across the Thames Water region.
  • Manage project programmes, budgets and commercial performance to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Thames Water and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate internal departments and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project performance, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
  • Oversee project reporting, governance and financial performance.
  • Support resource planning and project forecasting across the portfolio.
  • Drive continuous improvement and ensure lessons learned are implemented across projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual obligations and client expectations.

Skills, Experience and Knowledge

  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager within the UK water sector.
  • Strong track record of delivering water infrastructure projects through all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, budgets and programmes simultaneously.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project costs and performance.
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts is advantageous.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
