Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver surface water flood modelling projects from inception to completion.
- Develop and review 1D/2D hydraulic models using TUFLOW and Flood Modeller.
- Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers and modellers.
- Liaise with Local Authorities, Lead Local Flood Authorities and other key stakeholders.
- Review model outputs, reports and technical documentation to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in surface water flood modelling.
- Strong working knowledge of TUFLOW and Flood Modeller.
- Understanding of UK flood risk policy and guidance.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geography or related discipline.
- Chartered or working towards Chartered status is advantageous but not essential.
