Are you an experienced Telecoms Contractor\'s Responsible Engineer (CRE) with a strong background in rail-based operational communications (Opscoms)?
Rate: £500 - £560 day inside IR35
Contract length: Long term
Location: London or Swindon couple of day a week - rest from home
This is a design-led position where your technical expertise will be crucial in delivering complex telecoms solutions for major rail projects.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the detailed telecoms design for the landmark HS2 Old Oak Common station project, focusing on FDNX alterations.
- Providing expert support to a major signalling framework across the Wales and Western region.
- Leading on detailed design, managing cable design, and interfacing directly with construction teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
What you’ll need
- Proven experience as a Telecoms CRE in a UK rail environment.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Operational Communications (Opscoms).
- Demonstrable experience in detailed design for rail telecoms projects.
- Experience with FDNX, SBT, and concentrator alterations.
- Based in the Midlands or South of England to accommodate occasional site visits.
