Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for your next role in water infrastructure? My client, a main contractor delivering water main renewal and clean water civils projects, has an immediate opportunity to join the commercial team supporting multiple live schemes.
Responsibilities
- Administer commercial and financial aspects of projects across the programme
- Prepare CVRs, cost and value reports, applications for payment and forecasts
- Manage procurement for labour, plant, materials and subcontract packages
- Lead subcontract management from terms and risk attribution to final account
- Manage change through Early Warnings and Variations
- Administer the principal contract, including NEC and IChemE Burgundy Book
- Provide VOWD and demand forecasting with robust cost control
- Work closely with delivery teams to support safe and efficient delivery
- Identify opportunities to improve value and margin
Skills and Experience
- Degree, HND or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, or substantial relevant experience
- Experience in water, utilities or civil infrastructure
- Strong working knowledge of NEC. JCT and IChemE experience beneficial
- Proactive approach to risk and opportunity management
- Intermediate to advanced Excel, confident handling large data sets
- Full UK driving licence
