We are seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Transport Planner to join our growing team in West Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to build a successful career within Transport Planning while receiving support, training and mentoring from experienced specialists.

What you will be doing:

  • Assisting with the preparation of Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
  • Supporting Travel Plan preparation and monitoring
  • Undertaking transport data analysis and research
  • Assisting with traffic and transport modelling tasks
  • Supporting highway access and feasibility studies
  • Producing technical reports and supporting documentation
  • Attending meetings with clients and stakeholders alongside senior team members
  • Learning about the planning and development process
  • Assisting in the delivery of projects from concept through to planning approval

Skills and experience required:

  • A degree in Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the UK planning process would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Relevant placement, internship or work experience would be beneficial
