We are seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Transport Planner to join our growing team in West Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to build a successful career within Transport Planning while receiving support, training and mentoring from experienced specialists.
What you will be doing:
- Assisting with the preparation of Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
- Supporting Travel Plan preparation and monitoring
- Undertaking transport data analysis and research
- Assisting with traffic and transport modelling tasks
- Supporting highway access and feasibility studies
- Producing technical reports and supporting documentation
- Attending meetings with clients and stakeholders alongside senior team members
- Learning about the planning and development process
- Assisting in the delivery of projects from concept through to planning approval
Skills and experience required:
- A degree in Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of the UK planning process would be advantageous but is not essential
- Relevant placement, internship or work experience would be beneficial
