My client is recruiting a Project Manager to support the delivery of projects across a long-term substation framework in Hampshire. My client is an established contractor operating across the power and infrastructure sectors, delivering complex projects within Transmission & Distribution. With a strong forward order book and continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their project delivery team with an experienced Project Manager. What you will be doing As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of substation projects from initial planning through to completion. You will be: Managing the day-to-day delivery of substation projects across the framework. Coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure work is delivered safely and efficiently. Managing project programmes, identifying risks and ensuring key milestones are achieved. Monitoring budgets and commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with commercial, engineering and operational teams Maintaining strong relationships with the client and other key stakeholders. Ensuring projects are delivered in line with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements. Providing clear project reporting and communicating progress to internal and external stakeholders. Supporting the resolution of programme, technical and delivery challenges as they arise. What you will need You could come from either a civil or electrical background. Previous substation experience would be highly desirable, although my client will also consider candidates with strong project delivery experience within the wider power or civil engineering sectors. To be considered for this Project Manager position, you will ideally have: Previous experience working as a Project Manager within construction, infrastructure, power or civil engineering. Experience managing subcontractors, programmes, budgets and site delivery. A civil or electrical engineering background. A strong understanding of health, safety and quality requirements. Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills. A full UK driving licence. Previous experience delivering substation projects would be desirable. Experience working on SSE projects would be highly desirable. SSE Category 1 authorisation would be advantageous. Salary, package and development For this Project Manager opportunity, you will receive: £80,000-£90,000 salary, dependent on experience. Company car or car allowance 25 days' annual leave, plus bank holidays. The opportunity to work on a long-term substation framework.
