An exciting position has come available for a Tier 1 contractor on the United Utilities (UU) water AMP7 framework for an experienced Process Operator to work on a contract basis.
Role Requirements:
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of the Wastewater assets and processes and be comfortable in an operational environment.
- The nature of this activity may be physically demanding and will require you to be flexible in your approach with a mixture of proactive and reactive work orders.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for process monitoring of the new plant.
- Daily monitoring of the process operating parameters (MLSS, SSVI, final effluent analyses, sludge thickener performance, sludge, chemicals).
- Daily monitoring of equipment (oxidation ditch (inducers, blowers, instruments, ferric, caustic, sludge thickeners, etc)).
- Monitoring of analysers, recalibration of instruments, ordering of reagents.
- Adjustment of process parameters to maintain performance.
- Reporting to Advance Plus process commissioning engineer.
- Consultation with client, suppliers and Advance Plus process team.
- Regular meetings with UU.
