An exciting position has come available for a Tier 1 contractor on the United Utilities (UU) water AMP7 framework for an experienced Process Operator to work on a contract basis.

Role Requirements:

  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of the Wastewater assets and processes and be comfortable in an operational environment.
  • The nature of this activity may be physically demanding and will require you to be flexible in your approach with a mixture of proactive and reactive work orders.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for process monitoring of the new plant.
  • Daily monitoring of the process operating parameters (MLSS, SSVI, final effluent analyses, sludge thickener performance, sludge, chemicals).
  • Daily monitoring of equipment (oxidation ditch (inducers, blowers, instruments, ferric, caustic, sludge thickeners, etc)).
  • Monitoring of analysers, recalibration of instruments, ordering of reagents.
  • Adjustment of process parameters to maintain performance.
  • Reporting to Advance Plus process commissioning engineer.
  • Consultation with client, suppliers and Advance Plus process team.
  • Regular meetings with UU.
