Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in the Midlands in their search for a Principal Planning Officer to join their Development Management team. The contract will be offered on an initial 6 month rolling basis.
We are looking for a qualified Town Planner with current experience assessing planning applications, with particular experience dealing with a caseload of major applications. The successful candidate's workload will include new dwellings, dealing with S106, and industrial proposals, amongst other major developments. The successful candidate will also help to mentor junior staff and on occasion sign off applications in the absence of Team Leaders.
It would be beneficial to hold a RTPI accredited Planning Degree or equivalent Planning qualification and/or have experience in a similar position.
