A well-established UK engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Structural Engineer to join its growing team. The business delivers practical, efficient and high-quality structural solutions across a broad range of building projects and offers a supportive environment with clear development pathways.
Responsibilities
- Produce structural designs from concept through to construction, including calculations and technical reports
- Design across materials including steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber (project dependent)
- Coordinate design information with architects, contractors and internal teams to ensure buildable outcomes
- Provide technical support during construction, responding to queries and attending occasional site visits
- Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold high technical and quality standards
Requirements
- A degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (BEng/MEng or equivalent)
- Experience in a UK consultancy
- Strong calculation ability and attention to detail, with confidence producing technical deliverables
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset
- Progress toward ICE/IStructE chartership (or Chartered status) is advantageous but not essential
