We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join our Construction delivery team on a site-based role in Perth, Scotland. Reporting into the Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the mechanical delivery elements of the scheme. The role focuses on the safe, compliant, and efficient coordination of site activities, ensuring that health, safety, quality, environmental, programme, and commercial objectives are consistently achieved.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee all mechanical site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with project requirements.
- Manage, lead, and support the mechanical site team, providing supervision, guidance, and mentoring where required.
- Maintain strong consideration for the local community and surrounding environment, minimising disruption to residents and road users.
- Promote cost-effective delivery through efficient planning and responsible use of labour, plant, and materials.
- Develop, monitor, and regularly update achievable construction programmes.
- Prepare, review, communicate, and maintain method statements and risk assessments.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of as-built documentation for inclusion in the Health & Safety File via the CDM Coordinator.
- Attend and complete all necessary training linked to site management responsibilities, including temporary works and appointed person duties.
Candidate Requirements
- Relevant mechanical engineering and/or site management qualifications.
- Strong mechanical engineering background within construction delivery.
- Formal qualification in Health, Safety & Environmental Management (IOSH or Construction Managers Safety Certificate).
- CSCS Site Manager certification (minimum requirement).
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Proven experience working within the water and wastewater treatment sector.
