You will be supporting my client, a leading Tier One highways contractor delivering major infrastructure and highways schemes across the region. The business has secured a substantial pipeline of highways works and is recognised for maintaining exceptional Health & Safety standards, investing heavily in its people and delivering nationally significant projects successfully.
What you will be doing day to day:
- You will be advising site and project teams on all Health & Safety matters across major highways projects.
- You will be carrying out site inspections, audits and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with HSG, CDM and company procedures.
- You will be supporting accident and near-miss investigations while implementing corrective actions and lessons learned.
- You will be delivering toolbox talks, inductions and workforce briefings across active construction sites.
- You will be monitoring subcontractor compliance and promoting a proactive Health & Safety culture throughout project delivery.
- You will be working closely with operational teams to continuously improve Health & Safety performance across major highways projects.
What you'll need to bring:
- Proven experience within highways, infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
- A NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent qualification).
- A strong understanding of CDM Regulations and highways safety standards.
- Confidence communicating with site teams, subcontractors and management at all levels.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to Health & Safety.
Salary and benefits:
- Salary of £55,000 per annum dependent on experience.
