The project has recently secured its next phase and has at least another two years of work ahead. The team is currently mobilising for the new phase, making this an excellent time to join as commercial and procurement activity begins to increase. The upcoming works will predominantly consist of civil engineering and infrastructure packages around the station, including structures, station platforms, canopies, cladding and associated buildings. Although this is a rail environment, previous rail experience is not essential. Candidates from wider civil engineering sectors including highways, water and major infrastructure will be considered, provided they have a strong civils background. The role will then cover the wider commercial management of allocated packages, including subcontractor management, forecasting, valuations, cost control, variations and profitability. There may also be opportunities to support and develop junior Quantity Surveyors within the team, although previous management experience is not essential.
