An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Streetworks Officer to join my client's Network Management team based in the East Midlands. This is a predominantly office-based role focused on the coordination of permits, TTROs, and streetworks activity across the local highway network.

This position plays a crucial role in supporting effective streetworks coordination, ensuring network efficiency and regulatory compliance. Working closely with an established team, the Streetworks Officer will help manage permitting processes, liaise with utility providers, and support the day-to-day operations of a busy highways office.

The main duties of the Streetworks Officer are:

  • Coordinating and processing streetworks permits in accordance with relevant legislation
  • Managing Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTROs) and traffic management planning
  • Supporting the wider Network Management function to ensure smooth delivery of works
  • Working collaboratively with contractors, utility companies, and internal departments
  • Ensuring accurate record-keeping and use of streetworks and permitting software
  • Supporting operational planning and incident response as required
  • Working from the office at least 3 days per week, with some flexibility

The Streetworks Officer will have key experience in:

  • Streetworks, permitting or TTRO coordination within a highways environment
  • Understanding of the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and relevant regulations
  • Office-based experience in network management or traffic coordination
