An opportunity has arisen for an Architectural Technologist to join a multidisciplinary design practice, providing technical design, coordination, and project delivery services across a wide range of built environment projects.

The role involves working as part of an integrated team to deliver high-quality technical outputs from feasibility through to construction, supporting both clients and project teams across all RIBA stages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take client instructions and develop clear, structured project briefs
  • Prepare planning applications, Building Regulations submissions, and Listed Building applications, liaising with clients, consultants, and authorities
  • Develop design drawings through to tender stage, including working drawings and specifications
  • Obtain and analyse supplier and contractor costs, including pre-tender estimates
  • Manage the tender process, including post-tender analysis and preparation of tender reports
  • Carry out measured surveys of existing buildings
  • Support project delivery during construction, including site visits and meetings
  • Review drawings and liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Assist with project reviews and improvements to design and delivery processes
  • Manage risk, including commercial, health & safety, and programme considerations
  • Support cross-disciplinary collaboration across project teams
Essential Requirements:
  • Degree in Architectural Technology (or equivalent qualification)
  • Working towards or achieved MCIAT status
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Strong technical design and detailing ability
  • Good understanding of planning, Building Regulations, and construction processes
