Neighbourhood Housing Officer Northamptonshire | Field Based Rate: £32.10 per hour IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Initial Contract Length: 3 months Start Date: ASAP Working Hours: Full-time hours (37 Hours) Role Summary Reporting to the Housing Manager, you will deliver a high-quality, customer-focused housing management service to tenants and leaseholders. The role will involve managing a varied caseload covering tenancy management, rent arrears, anti-social behaviour, estate management, customer engagement and supporting residents to sustain their tenancies. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housing professional to make a positive impact within local communities while supporting the delivery of effective neighbourhood services. What You Will Do As A Neighbourhood Housing Officer - Deliver a proactive tenancy management service, providing advice, guidance and support to tenants and leaseholders. - Carry out home visits, tenancy reviews, property inspections and tenancy-related assessments. - Manage tenancy changes, mutual exchanges, property alterations and other housing-related applications. - Investigate and manage anti-social behaviour cases, tenancy breaches and customer concerns, taking appropriate action where required. - Support residents experiencing financial difficulties through effective rent arrears management, repayment plans and referrals to support services. - Undertake estate inspections, identify issues and work with residents and partner agencies to improve neighbourhoods. - Support empty property processes including advertising, viewings, sign-ups and customer welcome meetings. What You Will Need As A Neighbourhood Housing Officer - Previous experience working in a similar housing management role within a local authority or housing provider environment. - Strong knowledge of tenancy management, housing legislation, regulation and possession processes. - Experience managing cases involving vulnerable residents, complex needs and challenging behaviour. - Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills. - Ability to manage your own workload effectively and work to deadlines and performance targets. - Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
