An opportunity has arisen for a Clerk of Works with experience in highways development management to join a client in Northamptonshire. Your main duties include monitoring and checking highways/developer works across the area.

This is a full-time contract position. The rate on offer is £30 - £40 per hour - negotiable for the right candidate.

Working within the Highways team your main duties include:

  • Monitor developer and contractor works for compliance with approved documentation, specification, planning requirements, legal agreements and permits
  • Identify non-compliant work, agree required remedial action and monitor successful completion
  • Monitor works within the highway to ensure operational safety and public safety, including traffic management compliance
  • Liaise with the developers, designers, contractors and Development Management and Technical Audit teams to identify and agree design changes required to achieve compliant and acceptable schemes
  • Confirm completion of civil engineering works to support maintenance and/or adoption certification

Previous experience in Highways is essential for this role.
