My client is seeking an experienced Senior Adoptions Engineer to join their Preconstruction team based in Nottinghamshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a highways professional who enjoys working at the heart of development infrastructure projects, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring new highway schemes are delivered to the highest standards. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering safer, more sustainable, and better-connected communities. You'll help bring new developments into the highway network, ensuring critical infrastructure is designed, constructed, and adopted in line with the required standards.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Adoptions Engineer, you will take a leading role in managing highway adoption and agreement works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with all relevant legislation and standards. You will be responsible for:
- Leading site inspections associated with Section 38 and Section 278 highway works.
- Monitoring construction progress and providing technical guidance to developers, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Ensuring works comply with legal agreements, specifications, industry standards, and adopted highway requirements.
