Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the NEC4 Project Manager, administering the contract and ensuring all contractual obligations are fulfilled in accordance with NEC4 processes.
  • Lead the successful delivery of the cycle route scheme, managing programme, risk, quality, cost, and change throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build strong working relationships with the Local Authority, contractors, designers, statutory undertakers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage early warnings, compensation events, communications, and project reporting to support informed decision-making.
  • Promote a collaborative, proactive approach that delivers the project safely, on time, within budget, and to the required standards.

Essential Experience:

  • NEC4 Project Manager Accreditation is essential.
  • Proven experience acting as an NEC4 Project Manager on highways, civil engineering, or transport infrastructure projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC4 contract administration, including early warnings, compensation events, programme assessment, and change management.
  • Experience delivering Local Authority or public sector infrastructure schemes, ideally within active travel or cycling projects.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, with the ability to build collaborative working relationships.
