Are you an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor ready to join a major highways infrastructure scheme? There is an opportunity in the Midlands area that is an immediate start on a contract basis. This is a high‑profile project with significant structures packages and offers the chance to lead a commercial team on a large‑scale civil engineering programme.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the structures package, valued at approximately £30 m within a wider £210 m infrastructure project. This is a hands‑on commercial leadership role focused on:
- Managing subcontractors
- Negotiation and change control
- Commercial oversight of complex structures works
- Leading and mentoring a team of QS professionals
You will manage a team of up to 4‑5 commercial staff, including Senior QSs and Quantity Surveyors, while working closely with operational leadership on site.
We are seeking candidates with:
- Strong experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior Commercial Lead
- Proven background in structures‑heavy civil engineering or highways projects
- Experience delivering major structures such as overbridges, large spans, and reinforced concrete works
- Strong subcontract management and commercial negotiation skills
