Want to take a leading role in the delivery of a major National Grid substation project? Our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background delivering National Grid substation projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a major energy infrastructure programme, taking responsibility for the delivery of works from design through to construction and completion.
Job Role
As Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme and within budget. You will work closely with the client, suppliers and wider project team, managing project risks and opportunities while overseeing the commercial, engineering and construction requirements of the scheme. The role will require a strong understanding of National Grid standards, Safety Rules and EPC/M&E delivery, alongside the ability to lead teams operating within a live transmission environment.
Requirements
- Previous Project Manager experience on National Grid substation projects
- Strong understanding of National Grid Safety Rules, procedures and standards
- Experience delivering Design & Build / EPC / M&E projects
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary and cross-functional project teams
- Strong client and supplier management experience
- Good commercial understanding with NEC contract experience
- Experience managing project budgets, programme, risk and opportunity
- Strong understanding of HSWA, CDM and EAWR
- Construction, engineering or other relevant qualification/experience
- Experience using project management software
- Full UK Driving Licence
