We're looking for an experienced Sub Agent to join a major infrastructure scheme delivering complex civils works across earthworks, reinforced concrete structures, utilities and enabling works. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced site environment and can confidently manage engineering teams, subcontractors and programme delivery while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities as Sub-Agent
- Manage a section of works from planning through to delivery
- Lead and coordinate Site Engineers and Section Engineers
- Drive health & safety compliance including RAMS and permits to work
- Oversee quality inspections, audits and handover documentation
- Monitor programme performance, productivity and subcontractor delivery
- Resolve technical and construction issues alongside design teams
- Support cost control, reporting and commercial activities
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sub Agent on major civils or infrastructure projects
- Strong background in earthworks, RC, utilities or enabling works
- Excellent understanding of QA processes, temporary works and site safety
- Ability to manage subcontractors and engineering teams effectively
- CSCS Card and SSSTS or SMSTS certification
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexible to work nights/weekends where required
