This Planner opportunity will give you the chance to shape project programmes, support successful delivery and work closely with experienced commercial, operational and engineering teams. What you will be doing:

  • Developing detailed tender, pre-construction and delivery programmes.
  • Creating and maintaining project schedules using appropriate planning software.
  • Working closely with project managers, engineers, commercial teams and site teams.
  • Monitoring progress against agreed programmes and identifying potential delays.
  • Producing programme updates, progress reports and performance information.
  • Reviewing critical paths, sequencing and project milestones.
  • Supporting tender submissions with clear and achievable construction programmes.
  • Identifying programme risks, constraints and opportunities.
  • Supporting the development of recovery plans where project delays occur.
  • Attending progress meetings and communicating programme information to key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring programme changes are accurately recorded and communicated.
  • Supporting project teams with short-term planning, resource forecasting and delivery sequencing.
  • Maintaining accurate records to support contractual and commercial requirements.

What you will bring:

  • Previous planning experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, construction or a related sector.
  • Experience producing and maintaining detailed project programmes.
  • Strong working knowledge of planning software such as Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject or Microsoft Project.
  • A clear understanding of construction methods, sequencing and project delivery.
  • The ability to analyse project information and identify programme risks.
  • Experience monitoring progress and producing accurate programme updates.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • The ability to work effectively with operational, engineering and commercial teams.
  • A well-organised and methodical approach to planning.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

A relevant qualification in construction, civil engineering, project management or a related discipline would be beneficial.
