We are currently seeking three experienced MEICA Supervisors to support the successful delivery of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, automation and civil engineering projects across the water and wastewater sector. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of capital improvement and operational projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You will provide technical supervision on site, coordinating direct labour, subcontractors and suppliers while ensuring all activities are delivered in line with programme, budget and specification requirements. Working closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers and operational stakeholders, you will help maintain asset performance and support the delivery of critical infrastructure projects across water treatment works, wastewater treatment sites, pumping stations and network assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the safe and efficient delivery of MEICA installation, maintenance, testing and commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works are completed to programme.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements at all times.
  • Monitor and manage site activities to ensure adherence to project specifications and client standards.
  • Support project delivery teams in identifying and resolving technical and operational issues.
  • Conduct site inspections, quality checks and progress reviews.
  • Ensure accurate site records, permits and documentation are maintained.
  • Assist with commissioning, testing and handover activities.
  • Liaise with operational teams to minimise disruption and maintain service continuity.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with CDM regulations and safe systems of work.

Requirements

Experience & Knowledge

  • Minimum 2 years' experience within the water or wastewater industry.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and/or civil engineering systems.
  • Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, pumping systems, pipelines and industry standards.
  • Experience supervising installation, maintenance, commissioning or construction activities.
  • Familiarity with testing and commissioning processes, including cable testing, pressure testing and asset handovers.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience within MEICA/EICA installation, maintenance or supervisory roles.
  • Strong technical knowledge of pumps, valves, motors, MCCs, LV switchgear, ICA and telemetry systems.
  • Good understanding of WIMES standards and water industry specifications.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
  • EUSR Water Hygiene card.
  • Understanding of CDM Regulations and safe systems of work.
  • COMPEX and DSEAR knowledge would be advantageous.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • BS7671 18th Edition qualification desirable.
  • AM2 and C&G 2391-52 qualifications desirable.
  • Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and resolve site-based challenges effectively.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
