You will take charge of key mechanical works across the Anglian Water region for a well-established contractor as a Mechanical Supervisor, overseeing site teams and ensuring all installations, maintenance, and commissioning activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. What you will be doing:
- Supervising and coordinating all mechanical works on water and wastewater treatment sites.
- Managing teams of mechanical fitters, welders, and subcontractors to ensure high standards of safety and quality.
- Overseeing mechanical installations, including pumps, valves, and heavy wastewater equipment.
- Leading mechanical fitting, pipe fitting, and welding activities on site.
- Ensuring compliance with HSE standards, client specifications, and framework requirements.
- Working closely with Project Managers and Engineers to maintain progress and resolve technical challenges.
- Conducting site inspections and toolbox talks to drive safety and performance.
What you will bring:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a mechanical discipline.
- SMSTS or SSSTS and a valid CSCS card.
- Proven experience supervising mechanical works within the water/wastewater sector.
- Hands-on experience in welding, pipe fitting, and mechanical assembly.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, heavy wastewater equipment, and site operations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence (van and fuel card provided).
