Role: M&E Estimator Location: Remote Working Rate: Up to £400 p/d (depending on Experience) Duration: 12 months Are you an M&E/MEICA Estimator with experience in the UK Water sector? Are you looking for front end work for the UK’s biggest Water Utility companies for their AMP8 work? I’m currently working alongside a consultancy who provide specialist services to the UK’s Water Utility companies, and they have been trusted with complex MEICA estimating services from 3 Client’s AMP8 commercial needs. At present, they have work secured for a large increase in works added to their AMP8 framework and require at least 1 more Estimator to join their team. To be suitable for this position at the advertised day rate, you must have experience in the water/waste water industry attached to a UK Water authority. The ideal candidate will: ·Water or waste water experience ·A degree/HND level in either; Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or maybe in Quantity Surveying. ·Understands how to build estimates from first principles ·Understands the key factors involved with building a robust estimate, stakeholder engagement and how to define requirements at the outset ·Capable of producing varying levels of estimates commensurate with the project stage and available information ·Understands how to interpret and apply cost data from various sources ·Understands the key information required to support a robust estimates ·Understands and can apply concepts such as risk, contingency and estimating uncertainty ·Capable of auditing estimates prepared by others and producing reports. ·Significant estimating experience within a relevant sector or discipline. ·Relevant professional qualification and / or accreditation Carrington West one of the leading commercial/quantity surveying industry specialist recruiters who cater for a wide range of industry sectors such as built environment, construction, road, rail and water.
