My client is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Materials Site Technician to join their growing team in Leicester. About the Company
My client is a respected independent construction materials testing company serving the civil engineering, construction, and quarrying sectors. They specialise in asphalt, aggregates, earthworks, and concrete testing, supporting projects from production through to on‑site verification and laboratory analysis within their UKAS‑accredited facilities. With continued growth across the UK, they are looking to add another dedicated Materials Site Technician to their professional and supportive team.
What You Will Be Doing
- Carry out on‑site testing of materials including concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates
- Record and document test results accurately
- Monitor the quality and condition of materials delivered to site
- Prepare reports and communicate findings with engineers and project teams
- Support site teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Travel to different project locations across the region, with occasional overnight stays
- Maintain high health and safety standards at all times
- Work outdoors in a variety of environments and weather conditions
What My Client Is Looking For
- Previous experience within construction, materials testing, engineering, or a similar field‑based environment (preferred but not essential)
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good communication and organisational skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and proactive approach to problem‑solving
- Flexibility to travel regularly to sites
- A full UK driving licence would be advantageous
- Candidates from backgrounds such as Construction Technician, Field Technician, Site Technician, Materials Technician, Surveyor, or Construction Engineer are encouraged to apply
Salary & Benefits
- Salary of circa GBP32,000 per annum, dependent on experience
- Daily overtime available
- Weekend overtime paid at 1.5x basic rate
- Night shift allowance of +GBP2.50 per hour
