Are you an experienced Civil CAD Technician with a strong background in 3D modelling and drafting? Do you have a passion for delivering high-quality civil engineering designs and experience in a multidisciplinary environment? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you! Our client, a leading company working on the United Utilities framework, is seeking a skilled Civil CAD Technician to join their team on exciting infrastructure projects. Based in their Manchester office with hybrid working available, you will play a key role in delivering detailed drawings and designs for major civil engineering works.

Key Responsibilities

  • 3D modelling and 2D drawing production to a level suitable for construction, including layouts and general arrangements.
  • Quality control of models and drawings, ensuring they meet standards and updating drawing registers such as MIDP.
  • Ensure designs comply with CDM regulations.
  • Coordinate drawing work undertaken by offshore resources and support the development of junior team members.
  • Collaborate across technical disciplines to ensure seamless design integration.

Requirements/Desirable

  • Experience in a multi‑disciplinary engineering environment.
  • Proficient in 2D drafting and 3D modelling, with hands‑on experience in Autodesk Revit and other 3D applications.
  • Experience with Bentley Projectwise and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Solid understanding of CAD standards, QA processes, and engineering software.
  • Detail‑oriented, with the ability to present complex designs clearly and effectively.
  • Self‑starter with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
