The Role: We are seeking a self-sufficient Senior Temporary Works Designer to check and approve designs across major rail and infrastructure projects. You will be expected to hit the ground running on high-profile schemes such as the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU), Piccadilly Line Upgrades, and Sizewell C.
Key Responsibilities:
- Checking and approving temporary works designs.
- Overseeing a wide range of temporary works including scaffolding, edge protection, and crane pad assessments.
- Working autonomously on design briefs.
Essential Requirements:
- Significant temporary works experience in the rail sector.
- Must be an existing CRE (Contractor's Responsible Engineer) or be a Chartered Engineer with extensive rail experience who can be quickly nominated.
