You will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead multiple technical teams and senior managers delivering complex highways, asset management, and construction design services
  • Shape and influence the strategic direction of the highways discipline alongside senior leadership
  • Play a key role in winning new business and growing major client accounts at regional and national level
  • Take ownership of bid strategy, working with multidisciplinary teams to develop competitive, high-quality submissions
  • Build and maintain senior-level client relationships, influencing decisions and outcomes at the highest level
  • Drive financial performance, including revenue growth, margin improvement, WIP control, and account success
  • Recruit, develop, and inspire high-performing engineering and technical teams
  • Champion technical excellence, best practice, and governance across complex, high-value infrastructure programmes
  • Represent highways engineering expertise to clients, stakeholders, and industry partners
  • Work closely with major infrastructure clients, local authorities, and private sector developers
  • Influence the successful delivery of projects both on and off site, including live construction environments

You will bring:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Significant experience in senior technical leadership roles within highways or civil engineering
  • A strong track record of delivering complex, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects
  • Experience working with local authorities, developers, and/or major infrastructure clients
  • The ability to oversee technical design, review, and assurance of engineering outputs
  • Experience working within construction environments and live project delivery
  • Strong understanding of design standards, codes, and CDM regulations

You will have a proven track record of:

  • Leading and developing large, multidisciplinary technical teams
  • Delivering complex, high-value infrastructure programmes
  • Operating confidently at senior leadership level
