We're currently recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join a well-established civil engineering contractor operating across the Southern Region. Due to continued growth and new project wins, there's an opportunity for a skilled Site Agent to take the lead on major civils schemes across Kent.
As a Site Agent, you'll be responsible for managing site teams, sub-contractors, and the safe and efficient delivery of heavy civils works, including highways, structures, drainage, and flood defence projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee site operatives, subcontractors, and site teams as a hands-on Site Agent.
- Produce method statements, risk assessments, and programme updates.
- Coordinate design activities and manage NEC contract changes.
- Monitor budgets and ensure the project is delivered on time and profitably.
- Liaise with stakeholders and maintain excellent client relationships.
- Demonstrated experience working as a Site Agent on UK-based civil engineering projects.
- Strong background in earthworks, highways, drainage, or flood defence schemes.
- Holds SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid (preferred), and a civil engineering qualification (HNC/HND/BEng).
- Solid understanding of NEC contracts and programme management.
- Tier 1 experience.
