If you’re an experienced Senior Highway Engineer wanting to join a top-class contractor delivering highways maintenance and improvement services across TfL contracts, this is the role for you.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver multidisciplinary highways projects from proposition through to construction, balancing competing demands and priorities.
- Review and approve highways infrastructure designs and technical outputs.
- Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Provide construction support to the delivery team.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and graduates.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant degree or HND/HNC (preferably in engineering) or equivalent qualifications.
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (ICE, CIHT, or equivalent), or significant relevant experience.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a highways design role.
- Proven design and/or delivery with in-depth understanding of highways and traffic engineering principles.
- Strong CAD and Civil 3D capability.
- Experience with Keylines & Key Signs software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant industry standards, including: DMRB, MCHW, Traffic Signs Manual, TfL Streets Toolkit.
You must have highways experience to be considered for this position.
