If you’re an experienced Senior Highway Engineer wanting to join a top-class contractor delivering highways maintenance and improvement services across TfL contracts, this is the role for you.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver multidisciplinary highways projects from proposition through to construction, balancing competing demands and priorities.
  • Review and approve highways infrastructure designs and technical outputs.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Provide construction support to the delivery team.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and graduates.

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant degree or HND/HNC (preferably in engineering) or equivalent qualifications.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (ICE, CIHT, or equivalent), or significant relevant experience.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a highways design role.
  • Proven design and/or delivery with in-depth understanding of highways and traffic engineering principles.
  • Strong CAD and Civil 3D capability.
  • Experience with Keylines & Key Signs software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant industry standards, including: DMRB, MCHW, Traffic Signs Manual, TfL Streets Toolkit.
